The University of Connecticut

The Long Island Sound Integrated Coastal Observing System (LISICOS) is a program of the University of Connecticut led by Professor James O'Donnell of the Department of Marine Sciences with the support of the Marine Science and Technology Center.   The goal of LISICOS is to acquire and share sustained observations of the Long Island Sound environment and its ecosystems to detects changes, understand their cause, and provide advice to government . LISICOS evolved from earlier UCONN programs in 2004 with funding from NOAA, EPA and the University of Connecticut. More information can be found at lisicos.uconn.edu.
